Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

 

The Technical Consultant is the technical reference for our customers and he is responsible for technical advising on NCR VOYIX products, collecting user requirements, functional specifications analysis, technical documentation, testing activities, software release and installation package, deeper problem determination and resolution.

It’s a combined position of SME, QA, advanced support and BA for various NCR VOYIX product,  with special focus on retail environments (stores, POS, backoffice, etc).

This role is one of the highest technical roles within NCR VOYIX PS and requires a combination of qualities that will enable a successful candidate to work end-to-end to deliver projects, support customer needs and business and technical initiatives at the industry and with customers.

 

 

Basic and team Qualifications

 

·       Software and systems architecture (technical, IT and enterprise)

·       Preferably 5 years of experience in the retail solutions.

·       Demonstrate technical credibility and a consultative approach with existing and prospective customers.

·       Strong collaboration and ability to work in a teaming environment.

·       Excellent problem solving attitude and good technical analysis skills, communication and creative thinking.

·       Documentation management.

·       Ability to work in a teaming environment and to manage activities

·       Good technical analysis skills

·       Good communication, creative thinking and presentation skills


Preferred Qualifications

Technical

 

·       Experience in working with Windows and Linux operating system administrative languages: command line and PowerShell.

·       Experience with network distributed architecture: client/server, web and databases

·       Experience with Retail solutions

·       Able to wear multiple hats: navigates freely between business, technical, execution, operations, etc.

 

Personal

 

·       Pragmatic: able to effectively manage the cost of business

·       Native national language and good English knowledge (written and speaking) required

·       A continual learner that stays up-to-date on the latest technologies (attends and ideally presents at tech conferences)

 

 

Attitude and approach to work

 

·       Extreme flexibility to switch between different parallel projects, changes in priorities, and to cover different tasks.

·       It also requires availability to handle critical incidents which needs immediate attention and solution at any time of the day and week, focusing on the problem resolution with highest attention and availability.

·       The position requires the presence in customer officed at least 3/4 days a week.
