WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT FOR US

The Product Solutions Architect for Risk & Performance is a senior role responsible for defining what “good” looks like across SimCorp’s risk and performance domain and translating deep domain expertise into repeatable, scalable SimCorp One client implementations.

Excellence in Risk and Performance is a strategic priority for SimCorp. These capabilities are central to how our clients understand, explain, and manage investment outcomes, assess portfolio risk exposures, and make informed decisions across asset classes. The Product Solutions Group owns the standard configurations, reference architectures, and best-practice workflows that define how clients implement SimCorp One as one integrated, out-of-the-box investment analytics platform.

As a Domain Architect, you are the authoritative voice on how SimCorp One risk and performance solutions should be adopted across client archetypes, spanning buy-side investment organizations with diverse asset mixes and operating models.

This role sits within Product Management, reporting to the Head of Product Solutions.

Role Scope

You cover SimCorp’s Risk & Performance domain, spanning investment risk analysis, Value at Risk (VaR) and stress testing simulations, risk factor and scenario modeling, performance measurement, fixed income and multi-asset performance attribution, and total portfolio analytics.

You understand how these workflows connect end-to-end for risk managers, portfolio managers, investment analysts, and CIOs. You define implementation patterns that translate complex analytics and models into consistent, explainable, and regulatorily robust client outcomes.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT FOR US

  • Client & Market Leadership: You engage with risk managers, investment analysts, portfolio managers, and CIOs as a definitive subject matter expert on risk and performance workflows. You advise clients on how to implement SimCorp’s risk and performance capabilities to gain transparency into portfolio risk, improve decision support, and clearly explain performance and drivers of return. You represent product leadership in client engagements and act as an escalation point when implementations require deep domain-specific guidance.

  • Market Intelligence & Product Influence: You bring competitive intelligence on risk and performance platforms back into product decisions, identifying capability gaps and ensuring implementation learnings directly inform roadmap priorities. This includes analytics platforms, risk engines, factor models, and performance attribution solutions. You identify cross-client patterns and convert them into reusable standard configurations, reference architectures, or productization candidates.

  • Domain Standards & Enablement: You own the standard configurations and reference architectures for risk and performance workflows, including the Investment analytics platform, data models, stress testing and scenario analysis, Risk models and factor-based risk analytics, including Axioma Risk and Fixed Income and multi-asset performance attribution. You enable consistent delivery by training and supporting implementation teams, reducing dependency on deep specialist expertise in every engagement.

WHAT WE VALUE

  • Domain Expertise & Market Knowledge: 15+ years of experience in solution architecture, product management, quantitative analytics, or senior client-facing roles focused on investment risk and performance. Deep understanding of market risk concepts, risk models, and analytics, including factor models, VaR methodologies, stress testing, and scenario analysis. Strong experience with performance measurement, fixed income performance attribution, and factor attribution across asset classes. Familiarity with institutional risk platforms and analytics solutions such as Axioma Risk or equivalent.

  • Trusted Advisor Credibility: Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with senior risk professionals, investment leaders, and CIOs. A consultative mindset with experience guiding clients toward recommended architecture and analytical approaches while maintaining strong relationships. Ability to bridge quantitative rigor with business relevance and explainability.

  • Strategic Communication & Influence: Proven ability to translate institutional client requirements into product strategy within the risk and performance domain. Skilled at synthesizing client feedback, competitive signals, and implementation insights into clear, actionable recommendations for product teams and leadership.
