WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT FOR US
The Product Solutions Architect for Operations & Accounting is a senior role responsible for defining what good looks like across SimCorp’s middle‑ and back‑office domains and translating deep operational and accounting expertise into repeatable, scalable SimCorp One client implementations.
Operational excellence is a strategic priority for SimCorp. High STP rates, accurate books and records, robust reconciliation processes, and timely settlement are mission‑critical for our clients’ ability to scale, manage risk, and meet regulatory expectations. The Product Solutions Group owns the standard configurations, reference architectures, and best‑practice workflows that define how clients implement SimCorp One as a fully integrated, front‑to‑back solution. As a Domain Architect, you understand the end‑to‑end operational lifecycle and are the authoritative voice on how SimCorp One operations and accounting capabilities should be adopted across different client archetypes.
This role sits within Product Management, reporting to the Head of Product Solutions.
Role Scope
You cover SimCorp’s operations and accounting domain, spanning trade capture and processing, confirmations and settlements (including T+1), reconciliations (positions, cash, transactions, and NAV), collateral and margin management, corporate actions processing, fees and expenses, and regulatory and financial accounting.
You understand how these workflows connect end‑to‑end across operations teams, finance, risk, and external counterparties, and you define the implementation patterns that translate that expertise into predictable, high‑quality client outcomes.
WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT FOR US
Client & Market Leadership: You engage with heads of operations, accounting leads, and transformation teams as the definitive subject matter expert on middle‑ and back‑office workflows. You advise clients on how to implement SimCorp’s operations and accounting capabilities to maximize straight‑through processing, reduce operational risk, improve reconciliation efficiency, and achieve timely and accurate settlement and reporting. You represent product leadership in client engagements and serve as the escalation point when implementations require deep domain guidance.
Market Intelligence & Product Influence: You bring competitive and market intelligence on operations and accounting platforms back into product decisions, identifying capability gaps and ensuring implementation learnings directly inform roadmap priorities. You identify cross‑client patterns in areas such as reconciliation automation, collateral workflows, and accounting treatment, and convert them into reusable standard configurations or candidates for further productization.
Domain Standards & Enablement: You own the standard configurations and reference architectures for operations and accounting workflows, including trade processing, settlement (T+1), reconciliations, collateral management, and regulatory and financial accounting frameworks. You enable and train implementation teams on these standards, ensuring consistent delivery without requiring deep operations or accounting expertise on every engagement.
WHAT WE VALUE
Domain Expertise & Market Knowledge: 15+ years of experience in solution architecture, product management, solution engineering, or senior client‑facing roles focused on investment operations and accounting. Deep understanding of trade lifecycle processing across asset classes, reconciliation processes, and operational controls. Strong knowledge of collateral and margin management, settlement models (including T+1), and regulatory and accounting frameworks (e.g. IFRS, local GAAP, regulatory reporting). Proven experience driving high STP rates and reducing manual intervention in complex operating environments.
Trusted Advisor Credibility: Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with operations leaders, accounting heads, and transformation sponsors. A consultative approach with the confidence to recommend and defend best‑practice operating models while maintaining strong client relationships. Fluency in both strategy (target‑state operating models, control frameworks) and execution (how SimCorp enables them).
Strategic Communication & Influence: Experience translating institutional client requirements into clear product and implementation guidance within the operations and accounting domain. Ability to synthesize market feedback, regulatory trends, and implementation learnings into actionable recommendations for product strategy.
