Alfa is hiring an Implementation Specialist - Financial Accounting & Controls , reporting to the Global Finance, Accounting and Regulatory lead.
As the Implementation Specialist you will be a key member of the Alfa project team, combining your finance capabilities to provide direction and oversight to clients and internal project resources. You will review and validate finance and accounting requirements and support both clients and Alfa staff through the implementation and stabilisation phases.
You will help Alfa clients drive transformational change within their finance department and support our portfolio of existing software implementations.
Our ideal candidate will have experience working across multiple projects, is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.
What you’ll be doing:
Act as first line finance expert support on Alfa Systems implementation projects, supporting clients with defining their finance processes as well as the configuration of the system
Provide expert financial advice on defining reports for statutory, regulatory and management reporting and data migration reconciliation
Actively involved in building the bridge between client finance and client business teams and the Alfa project team
Support the design of new processes for client finance teams based on implementation approach and new requirements/legislation (internal or external)
Ongoing evaluation and standardisation of finance implementation approach for Alfa Systems including identification of changes required to make the financial processes more efficient
Provide subject matter expertise in: operational implications of regulatory and accounting change including impact on data and financial systems
Employ a structured approach to project management to ensure delivery and complete client satisfaction
Identify, manage and report on project risks, issues, constraints and dependencies to prioritise focus on matters which could impact project timelines or success
Contribute to Alfa's growth and development
Participate in the development and delivery of training programs
We love to hear from you if you have:
Knowledge of the asset or automotive finance industry
CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA qualified (or other recognized accounting qualification) with 3 years’ experience of working within the Finance & FP&A functions in financial services
Comfortable operating within a matrix management structure on international projects
Demonstrate a record of delivery in finance and accounting change and transformation programs or significant roles in large scale finance projects in the industry
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate complex and technical issues clearly and succinctly
Accomplished reporting and presentation skills essential
Authorised to work in the UK without restrictions
