About the Role

This role will act as a specialised role to help support the implementation and ongoing performance of the customer onboarding system. During the implementation phase you will help support on the project delivery and implementation, whilst ensuring the operational processes are robust and that the colleagues working the system outputs are appropriately trained. Post implementation you will be responsible for monitoring the system performance, whilst ensuring that the end-to-end customer journey is performing as expected and escalating and following up of system related issues. The role will provide support to colleagues with the management of the relationship the between Financial Crime Unit and clients of Newcastle Strategic Solutions Limited (NSSL) with regards to Customer onboarding and provide Subject Matter Expert support with regards to financial crime onboarding system performance.

Outlining our interpretation of regulatory compliance with the aim to proactively manage expectations and lead joint readiness initiatives whilst assisting with client audit requests in regard to the process, gathering information and liaising with clients on issues and findings, escalating these to management. You will proactively interact with suppliers and delivery functions to facilitate awareness and ownership of regulatory change activity, secure commitment and drive adherence to our “best in class” strategic intent.

About You

Bringing a wealth of experience of working within a Financial Crime environment and processing financial crime alerts, along with dealing with complex investigations you will be experienced in supporting Financial Crime investigators and working collaboratively with a focus on good customer outcomes. It is expected you have successfully implemented amends to Financial Crime processes coaching colleagues on best practices.

You will have sound knowledge of the Anti-Money Laundering regulations and Joint Money Laundering Steering Committee Guidance with knowledge of products and services available within the Financial Services Industry. You are expected to have a good understanding of application of customer due diligence and customer risk assessments in practice AML and/or CDD Qualification equivalent to ICA Advanced Certificate or higher.
