Role overview
The Customer Success Manager for the Government Business Unit (GBU) is responsible for the health, retention, and strategic growth of Sayariβs UK Government partnerships. You will act as the primary adviser for a portfolio of accounts, including a high-impact, multi-million-pound programme focused on global trade integrity and border security.
You will help move our Customer Success model from reactive support to a proactive, technical partnership. You will ensure that UK Government users can apply Sayariβs latest technology to identify forced labour, illicit transhipment, and other global trade risks at scale.
Responsibilities

Own renewals: Lead the end-to-end renewal process for a multi-million-pound strategic government programme and 12 additional GBU accounts. Protect continuity, adoption, and customer value.

Build proactive account strategies: Move accounts from reactive usage to structured strategic roadmaps. Identify priority workflows where Sayari can support trade, border, and economic security objectives.

Provide technical advice: Develop deep expertise in the Sayari Platform and the internal Customer Success technology stack, including Gainsight and Mixpanel. Use data to provide practical guidance to power users and account stakeholders.

Work across teams: Partner with Sales, GBU Solutions, and Product to represent customer needs and influence the 2026 GBU product roadmap.

Support customer missions: Help customers identify forced labour risks, investigate illicit transhipment, and support the flow of lawful goods through greater trade transparency.

Demonstrate value: Translate platform usage, assessed intelligence, and provenance into clear outcomes for customer stakeholders and programme sponsors.
Skills and experience
Required

3+ years of experience in Customer Success or Account Management supporting UK Government departments, agencies, or large public-sector programmes.

Candidates without direct Customer Success or Account Management experience may be considered where they come directly from UK Government, policing, a crime agency, law enforcement, or a related investigative role focused on economic crime, financial crime, trade enforcement, or similar fields.
