Implementation Specialist

Working within commercial Surgical innovations team, you will support customers in the holistic implementation of robotic programmes, acting as the primary point of contact from acquisition all the way through to ongoing account management, ensuring the delivery of a world-class experience.  Partner with customers and lead the definition of robotic programme implementation strategies in your twin responsibilities of maximising customer satisfaction and Versius utilisation in your accounts.

Location requirements:

  • Island of Ireland travel

  • Ideally located close to Limerick, Galway or midlands. 

  • Attend meetings in head office at Northern Cross, Dublin

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the success of implementation project plans on the island of Ireland. Coordinate implementation projects liaising with M.E.D, CMR and customer stakeholders to ensure that all project phases are completed on time and within budget while delivering an industry-leading customer experience.

  • Gradually plan and oversee the second phase of clinical cases and beyond at new Versius installations.

  • Ensure robotic programme milestones are achieved and agreed procedure numbers are aligned with contractual agreements.

  • Undertake case support & troubleshooting in the Operating Room for surgical teams who are trained to use Versius.

  • Act as the first point of customer contact for technical and support issues, by ensuring the customer can reach you swiftly.

  • Track the ongoing success of the robotic programme through carrying out Versius Service Delivery Reviews in your accounts, sharing these with the relevant stakeholders and promptly highlighting corrective and preventative actions.

  • Assist the CMR Professional Education Team in the training of customers, guiding new surgical teams through their initial learning curve with Versius so they are empowered to move to a mature service relationship with M.E.D.

  • Support the team with internal planning and forecasting processes, as and when required, producing and sharing Versius system utilization reports with all the relevant stakeholders.

  • Work collaboratively and support the commercial function supporting Versius promotion campaigns such as surgical symposiums and product demo roadshows.

  • Work in partnership with the Robotics Business Development Manager to progress sales prospects and develop the pipeline ensuring Capital equipment sales targets are achieved.  

  • Identify commercial opportunities for the Surgical Innovations business unit through market analysis within the theatre setting. Identify and share insights with commercial counterparts.

  • Capitalise on robotic case downtime and apply your skills and experience to support members of the wider team by providing clinical trial assistance and case coverage as required

Desirable experience & background:

  • Experience in Operating Room process management or hospital staff education development/training with demonstrated experience in customer and peer training, specifically related to advanced technology within a clinical environment.

  • Stakeholder Management and Interdependent Partnering skills - demonstrated records/examples of cooperating across functions.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, being responsible for a variety of key planning and coordinating activities including maintaining and adhering to timelines and contracted Service Level Agreements for the installation and implementation project plans.

  • Life science degree preferred or equivalent clinical/medical degree or experience.

  • Experience of Minimal Access Surgery, Navigation and/or Robotics.

  • Inherently Self Disciplined - much of the role will be autonomous and require diligent and persistent follow up.

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills to assess the profitability of different scenarios.

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues and build strong long-term relationships with key opinion leaders.

  • Significant demonstrable knowledge Irish Healthcare system

  • Educated to Degree level desirable.
