About the Job 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solutions Architect for our Cloud DevOps operations team in Barcelona. A Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, developing and implementing technology solutions that meet specific business needs. They work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.

What you do

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating business objectives into scalable, secure technical solutions aligned with industry best practices.
• Design comprehensive architecture solutions with a focus on Cloud Applications, including SaaS, multi-tenant applications, cloud infrastructure/Infrastructure as Code, automation, and continuous delivery/deployment.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and tools, staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and address interoperability challenges.
• Create detailed architectural documentation, including diagrams and specifications, maintaining documentation for future reference, and communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business units, working closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of solutions, identifying potential risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure solutions meet quality standards and performance benchmarks through testing and validation, providing guidance and mentorship to junior architects, and leading architectural reviews.
• Embrace an agile mindset to foster adaptability and responsiveness, implementing best practices and driving innovation within the organization, while identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree or certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience as a software architect, ideally in large/multi-national projects, with proficiency in cloud technologies and platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of SaaS, multi-tenant applications, cloud infrastructure/Infrastructure as Code, automation, continuous delivery/deployment, and experience in monitoring and operations in cloud environments.
• Ability to design scalable, secure, and robust architecture solutions, familiar with architectural frameworks like TOGAF and Zachman, and capable of addressing interoperability challenges and ensuring data consistency across systems.
• Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
• Understanding of quality standards and performance benchmarks, with experience in testing and validation, providing guidance and mentorship to junior architects, and leading architectural reviews.
• Embrace an agile mindset to foster adaptability and responsiveness, staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Strong knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
